Barrier island experts. Salt-tolerant materials, corrosion-resistant components, and plant selections that survive Gulf-front exposure.
Siesta Key’s barrier island environment is one of the most demanding for landscape and irrigation work. Salt spray, sandy soil with almost no nutrient retention, wind exposure on the Gulf-front, and the extreme UV that comes with direct beachfront exposure all degrade standard landscape materials faster than inland properties.
We use brass and stainless irrigation heads in coastal installations, specify only salt-tolerant plant species for exposed areas, and design drainage systems that account for the island’s shallow water table.
Gulf-front and near-coastal plants need to tolerate salt spray, wind, and sandy soil. Sea grape, cocoplum, railroad vine, beach sunflower, and sea oats are excellent native choices.
Yes – standard zinc or plastic heads corrode quickly in a salt-air environment. We install brass and stainless-steel heads for all coastal properties.
Siesta Key has a very shallow water table. Traditional French drains that rely on deep percolation don’t work here. We design drainage that moves water horizontally to daylight or to the swale system.
Yes. We work with many seasonal residents who need reliable maintenance while they’re away. We set up monthly or bi-monthly maintenance agreements and send photo reports.
